MaKayla's Project
My objective behind this project is to provide a comfortable experience for special needs children and adults.
This project I hold near to my heart. I chose to call it MaKayla's Project after my niece MaKayla. She was only on this earth for a short time, but she left us all with such a lasting impression. MaKayla was nonverbal Autistic with a heart of gold.
When I first started taking pictures, before I even got my first DSLR camera I would take MaKayla outside and take pictures of her. She was always soo happy, she loved it. One of MaKayla's favorite things were pictures. She would sit and look through picture books for hours. She always trusted me and through the pictures we created a bond and memories. When my niece MaKayla passed away, I was able to hand her mom a stack of over 100 pictures that I had taken of her over the years. What a special gift I was able to give her, in her moment of need. Losing MaKayla is one of the hardest deaths I have taken. Those who knew MaKayla know how this world isn't the same without her.
For those parents and loved ones who have a special needs person and would LOVE to capture memories and moments in their lives, please contact me. I would LOVE to be able to provide this services for you. I don't want you to skip out on the special memories. I want you to be able to have tons of memories for the days when they are no longer around. I want you to have that stack of memories for when the day comes they are no longer here.
I want to help make a difference in their lives like MaKayla made a HUGE difference in my life. She taught me to love and be patient.

Meet Johnathan! He is the first child to receive a MaKayla's Project session. He is a SWEET SWEET little boy. I loved spending this afternoon with him. We did lots of playing on the slides. I let him take charge of his session and the results were amazing. By looking at this pictures you wouldn't know that hes autistic. Thank you Holly for trusting me to capture these special memories for him. He's one lucky little boy. I left this session with a warm heart. I just know these sessions are going to be soo rewarding not only to the families but to me. Johnathan's parents were so happy with how his session went, we are going to attempt some family pictures in a few weeks. I'm happy to be able to make them feel comfortable enough to help make this happen for them. Message me today to chat about a MaKayla's Project Session. I promise you, that you will leave your session happy. Johnathan's mom was happy before seeing any pictures. I cannot wait to do the next MaKayla's Project Session. Feel free to share little Johnathan.
